A few days ago, the Pterosaur I universal platform, China’s first all-composite multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the aviation industry, completed the first series of tests in the UAV emergency communication manoeuvre with wireless communication device equipped.
The flight tests were conducted at an airport in northwest China. The Pterosaur I universal platform equipped with wireless communication device circled with a radius of more than 3 kilometers at an altitude of 3 thousand to 5 thousand meters, and successfully achieves over 50 square kilometers, long-term stable continuous moving signal coverage.
The success of this test shows that the Pterosaur I universal platform has the ability of carrying satellite communication equipment to realize emergency communication and signal relay, which can effectively solve the problem of transportation facilities damage, data transmission problems in isolated islands, remote areas. It also plays an important role in coping with communication interruptions in the occurrence of large-scale natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and fires.
