Singapore Kelley aerospace company announced that they had received a pre-order of 100 new supersonic unmanned aerial vehicles Arrow. The price of this UAV will be between $9 million and $16 million.
It is reported that this unmanned aerial vehicle adopts the integrated shell of carbon fiber, which is obviously very light. It can fly more than 4800 kilometers and has a maximum takeoff weight of 16800 kilograms. The speed reaches Mach 2.1 (2.1 times the speed of sound), which is close to 2600 km/h.
Kelly aerospace company called this “Arrow” UAV “power multiplier”. Multiple unmanned aerial vehicles can be controlled by a manned fighter plane and allow them to perform multiple missions in the battlefield. They can also be remotely controlled by the ground station. This UAV can be used for intelligence, surveillance, target capture and reconnaissance missions.

The original text called this “the world’s first supersonic unmanned aerial vehicle”, but this should not be true. Military supersonic unmanned aerial vehicles appeared long ago. For example, the speed of the D-21 unmanned reconnaissance aircraft developed by the United States in the 1960 s could exceed Mach 3.
